Hi!
Welcome to my blog! I am excited to share my teaching journey with you and offer you some valuable resources that have helped me along the way. With over 17 years of experience, I have taught students from kindergarten to 8th grade, including several combo classes. District hopping three times gives me a unique perspective on the needs of different communities and the teachers who work there.
I am always exploring new ways to make teaching less overwhelming and more enjoyable. That’s why I create no-prep, standards-aligned activities that keep students engaged and make your life a little easier! You can find them in my Teachers Pay Teachers store, Peas in a Pod.
Being a bit of a dork has helped me to engage my students. I’ll sing, dance, or do both to refocus my group. They roll with laughter and are ultimately drawn in by my antics. They have no idea they were just fooled into focusing! (Let’s keep that our little secret.) ☺️
In addition to my teaching experience, I hold a Master of Education in Cross-Cultural Education. I also have a Bachelor of Science in Liberal Studies from CSU Sacramento, a Multiple Subject Credential, and a Preschool Teaching Certificate. Education is a lifelong journey, and I am continually seeking new ways to grow and improve as a teacher. Thank you for visiting my blog.
