Mother’s Day is around the corner, and you might be looking for a Mother’s Day craft that’s both sentimental and affordable. Look no further than a handwriting keychain! This personalized gift is simple, quick, and can be made inexpensively with white printable shrink paper.
To get started, print out the handwriting paper and have your students write their name in sharpie. You can also have them write a short message or draw a small picture to make it even more personalized. Once they’re finished, cut out the handwriting and don’t forget to hole punch for the key ring.
Next, it’s time to shrink! Place the handwriting on a piece of parchment paper and follow the instructions on the shrink paper package. Typically, you’ll want to preheat your oven to 325 degrees and bake for 1-3 minutes until the paper has shrunk and hardened.
Finally, add the key ring to the hole punch and voila! You’ve made a sentimental and personalized keychain that mom can carry with her wherever she goes.
